WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Darline Graham (R-South Carolina) cosponsored the Parris Island Protection Act, which prohibits the use of federal funds to close or realign the Marine Corps Recruit Depot located at Parris Island in Beaufort County, South Carolina.

“Since 1915, Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island has been transforming civilians into Marines right here in South Carolina. I want to ensure that the tradition of ‘Making Marines’ continues in Beaufort for generations to come. I’m proud to be a cosponsor of the Parris Island Protection Act and fight for South Carolina’s military community and longstanding legacy,” said Senator Darline Graham.

Senator Darline Graham joins Senator Tim Scott (R-South Carolina) as a cosponsor of this legislation.
